This year's festival will run from Friday 12 to Sunday 21 September 2025, transforming Bath into a hub of Regency-era celebration. The festival begins with the highly-anticipated Regency Costumed Promenade, which fills the streets of Bath with over 500 people in Regency dress.

12 September - 21 September One of the most well-known festivals in Bath, the Jane Austen Festival, is also one of the largest and longest Jane Austen-themed festivals in the world! The festival begins with a Regency Costumed Promenade, which holds the Guinness World Record for the 'Largest gathering of people. From dressing up with fellow Jane Austen fans as one of her much-loved characters, learning more about Jane's connection to Bath with special talks, tours and trails, exploring Bath locations used in screen adaptations of Jane's novels, or staying at one of the city's most luxurious hotels. The first Jane Austen Festival in 2001 took place over a weekend at The Jane Austen Centre, Bath, and has since grown into a 10 day programme, drawing over 3500 people from around the world.
